Supramolecular polymers bring dynamic behavior in solution, which is impossible with discrete species. Chirality coupled to supramolecular assemblies brings novel challenging properties to these systems. The PhD research work presented in this manuscript deals with the synthesis and characterization of two families of molecules: bis-urea and benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxamide (BTAs). Solution behavior and chiral transfer studies on bis-urea functionalized by a [Pt(C^Ntbu^Ntbu)]+ chromophore were limited due to their low solubility in non-polar solvents.
