This work focused on the calorimetric study of solution radical polymerization. The kinetic parameters of two polymerization systems have been investigated: those of conventional radical polymerization and that controlled by Reversible Addition-Fragmentation chain Transfer polymerization (RAFT). The method for estimating the kinetic parameters is based on the comparison of the experimental thermal power profile released during the polymerization and measured using a reaction calorimeter with power profiles calculated using the proposed model.
