A model is developed to describe the evaporation of liquid aerosols in gas streams passing through piping networks. Use of the model enables engineers to predict the size distribution of entrained aerosols in their pipes. The theoretical model is based on single drop theory applied to horizontal pipe sections with provision made for gravitational settling. Experiments, performed on a 6m long, clear PVC, double glazed wind tunnel of 0.3m square cross-section, showed good agreement with the predictions made
