We describe and provide a comparison between experimentally generated Peregrine Breather waves and simulated equivalents using 2D Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH). The breather waves are experimentally generated using a piston type wavemaker in a physical wave tank, which is then modelled in 2D SPH. The surface elevations of these waves are measured at a number of points along the wave tank, and the simulation measurements are compared directly to the experiments. The results presented here indicate that the SPH technique is able to predict many features of the breather solutions. However, the wave amplitudes are in moderate agreement due to insufficient numerical resolution
