This paper overviews research being conducted at IRIS in the field of data acquisition for motorsport applications. The research is part of a collaboration between IRIS, the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Intelligent Manufacturing Systems and Technologies (IMST) and an industrial sponsor, Motec Pty. Ltd. The research commenced on June 2001 and the expected completion date is June 2003.
