This thesis explores the importance of creativity and innovation enabling behaviours of Australian managers in the context of leadership excellence. The research brings together the fields of leadership, creativity, innovation and cultural study. Behaviours that enable creativity and innovation are categorised based on the primary influences on a manager's personal, managerial and organisational actions. The creativity and innovation enabling scale was tested alongside leadership behaviour categorises based on culture-specific Australian values shaping the actions of managers. The research provides insights into how managers enable creativity and innovation and how Australian culture shapes perceptions of leadership excellence in Australia...
