A new configuration of half-aperture four-field lateral shearing interferometer is proposed for applications that require sensitive collimation detection. The test arm of this configuration is of a multiple-pass system. The collimation evaluation of the double-pass test beam is maintained in a selfreferencing mode by means of the Michelson-type interferometer arrangement
