This is a hands-on workshop centred on demonstrating the use of a classroom management software, NetSupport School, for engaging students both prior to and during computer screen-based tutorial sessions for first year engineering course work. While the presenters intend to start off the conversation by sharing their experiences with such a software product, participants will be invited to contribute examples on how they could or would use similar technologies in their teaching. At the end of the workshop the participants will be in a position to appreciate what is being done, and/or what could be done with tools like this in educational contexts of their own.
