Many universities are making use of social software to support learning due to their affordances. The major purpose of this ongoing research is to examine learners' perceptions towards a new learning system (NLS) that integrates with social software tools by introducing collaborative adaptive learning (CALP) approach. However, learners need to be ready for this type of learning technology as past experiences have shown that new technologies do not necessarily lead to major improvement in education. For the success of a NLS implementation, there is a need to assess the readiness of the learners to adapt to the different learning styles of the new system.
