This chapter recognizes that universities may engage in a range of models and approaches to cooperative and work-integrated education in environmental health such as project work units, experimental learning task including field based laboratory work and career preparation units. These are designed to assist in work-readiness, graduate employability and to integrate theory with practice. The main focus of the chapter is models provided by universities engaged in environmental health education, to enable or assist graduates to obtain professional recognition which commonly involves an industry placement. This is illustrated by a case study of a model in Victoria, Australia
