Swinburne University collaboratively developed the Swinburne Sustainability Strategy, which includes the 'Australian first' target outcome of embedding sustainability in 100% of all Swinburne qualifications by 2015. The Strategy also requires 50% of Swinburne staff to be up skilled in sustainability by 2015. In parallel with the Swinburne Sustainability Strategy, the National Centre for Sustainability (NCS) at Swinburne was developing the first Australian VET course in education for sustainability
