The man standing in the back row, 4th from the left, is Kleon Thaw Brown the youngest brother of Orvon Graff Brown, founder and president of Miami Military Institute. A cadet laying on the ground in the center of the group is holding a football with 1902 written on the side. The field adjacent to the Miami Military Institute is now known as Veterans Memorial Park and Warren Street is behind the group.
