Käesolev töö kontrollib väite, mille kohaselt vaiade kasutamine kindlates kohtades plaadi all vähendab võrreldes vai- ja plaatvundamendiga vajumisi ja tõstab vundamendi kandevõimet, tõele vastavust. Töö eesmärk on labor katsetulemustele tuginedes selgitada erinevused vai, plaat ja vaialus vundamentide kandevõimetes. Katsed tehti plaadi, ühe, kolme, nelja, viie ja üheksa vaiaga mudeliga Koormuste rakendamiseks kasutati hüdraulilist survekatseseadet Lukas LZM 25/200, millega avaldati vundamendile koormust kontrollitud siirde meetodil, kiirusega 1 mm/min.
