Official Day In The 1984 Holy Convocation

Energetic worship services of the official day of the 1984 Northern Georgia jurisdiction of COGIC. The services include reading of scripture, songs sung by choir and congregation, offering appeals, convocation announcements and a sermon by Bishop J. Howard Dell. In the sermon, Bishop Dell addresses jurisdictional concerns from money, women and men�s religious life, worship and praise, and church growth. Bishop Dell encourages the church that God has heard them.The Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library acknowledges the generous support of the National Endowment for Humanities - Humanities Collections and Reference Resources Implementation Project Grant in supporting the processing and digitization of a number of its major archival collections as part of the project: Spreading the Word: Expanding Access to African American Religious Archival Collections at the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library.
