This research is an experimental study of performance of two multicomputer platforms used in parallel dynamic programming computation. The platforms used in the study are: IBM SP2 PowerParallel System, and interconnected Sun Sparc workstations. The experiments measure various types of time parameters, including I/O, initialization, CPU, synchronization delays and communication times. Based on these measurements, the performances of two platforms are analyzed
