This exploratory descriptive study examine the attitudes and knowledge among social work students and human service providers toward HIV/AIDS. Levels of contact with HIV/AIDS, AIDS-related knowledge, and demographic variables were used to explore and understand more about social workers levels of comfort in providing services to clients with AIDS. An exploratory research design was used in this study. A 45-item questionnaire was administered to a small sample of social work students and human service providers ranging in age from 25 to 65. The results of this study indicate there is no statistical significant difference between social work students and human service providers attitudes and knowledge towards HIV/AIDS
