In an entrepreneurial exit the original entrepreneur hands over the ownership of their business and thus ends their entrepreneurial career within that firm. Entrepreneurial exits have enjoyed much less attention in previous research compared to business creation and growth, although the centrality of the subject has been recognized by a number of scholars. This study aims to fill some of the gaps in the understanding of the entrepreneurial process through analysing the exit willingness of active entrepreneurs in small high-technology firms.
