The purpose of this thesis is to create a maintenance plan for ethylene cracking furnace. The maintenance plan has to include guidelines for everyday and long-term cracking furnace maintenance. The creation of the maintenance plan started with a background study of ethylene cracking furnaces and related equipment's. After that, maintenance strategies were researched, which could be used in maintaining a cracking furnace. After the theoretical study, daily cracking furnace maintenance was investigated, concentrating especially on the furnace BA-11 equipment replacement project.
