BIBLIOCRIME DI PERPUSTAKAAN PONDOK PESANTREN DARUL HUDA PONOROGO

This study aims to: (1) Knowing the factors that cause bibliocrime in Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School; (2) Determine the type of bibliocrime that occurs in the Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Library; (3) Knowing the impact / loss of bibliocrime in Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School; (4) Knowing how to deal with the occurrence of bibliocrime in Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study. Data collection methods use several methods in order to obtain relevant data, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used: (1) data collection (2) data reduction (3) data presentation, and (4) conclusing drawing / verification. The results of this study indicate that First, the type of bibliocrime that occurs in the Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Library, namely: (1) Book tearing, by tearing the pages of the book and also the book cover to retrieve the information needed. (2) Destruction, by crossing out a collection of books which the information feels is important by underlining the writing and also using a pencil / stabillo, then destruction in the form of a collection of collections on a shelf with no order. (3) Unauthorized borrowing, using the library staff's spare time to bring out the collection without going through the correct borrowing procedures. Second, the factors that cause bibliocrime are: Factors from the library, factors from the user, other factors which include blocked communication between the librarians and users. Third, the impact / loss felt by the Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Library, that is, from a financial perspective, incurred costs for repairing and changing collections. From the social point of view, users cannot use the library to the maximum due to the incomplete collection in the library, and also reduce the user's sense of comfort to visit the library. Fourth, prevention efforts undertaken by Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Library, namely: the inclusion of the code of conduct on the library information board, and checking the collection of loans and repayments. For the management ofthere are 3 parts: physical development, procedure and electronic. Based on this research, the researcher gave a suggestion that Darul Huda Islamic Boarding School Library improves the quality of service and security
