This Master's Thesis is studying changes that are coming to happen in Nord Pool power market in November 2011. These new changes consist of four new price areas in Sweden and new grid enforcement Fenno Skan2 that is located between South-Finland and South-Sweden. Nordic power production capacity is very variable. The most important production capacity is hydropower, which has price determinative position. Nuclear power and wind power have also important position when Nordic spot prices are determined. Nuclear and hydropower production form the base production.
