With growing computing demand, energy consumption is standing out as a salient concern of data centres with large numbers of servers. To build high energy-efficient data centres, the low power consumption ARM processors have been investigated as an alternative solution to replace the conventional high-end server processors e.g. Intel and AMD processors. This study exploits this concept and measures how much energy saving can be achieved by adopting ARM processors.
