High-rise apartment buildings are becoming more common in Finland. A standard method in building services implementation is yet to be determined. Therefore, a need for a calculation method can be used to determine the appropriate building services solution. Increased energy efficiency may make it profitable to substitute separate heating and ventilation systems with a heating ventilation system. The cost effectiveness of a heating ventilation system needed to be investigated according to current energy regulations and current price levels.
