Assessment of the impact of multiple floods on the viaduct abutments on the road Šilutė - Rusnė

Išplovimų formavimasis šalia hidrotechninių statinių atramų potvynių metu, bei jų daroma žala, yra šio laikmečio aktuali tema. Atlikti tyrimai įgalina kompiuterizuoti išplovimų susidarymo procesą ir įvertinti, kokią įtaką hidrotechniniams statiniams daro įvairios trukmės ir dydžio potvyniai. Rygos Technikos Universitete (RTU) parengta kompiuterinio modeliavimo programa „ERoBo“. Programa gali sumodeliuoti išplovimų susidarymą ir apskaičiuoti jų parametrus, gylį ir tūrį, vieno ar keleto pasikartojančių potvynių metu. Tai leidžia įvertinti rizikos faktorius ir numatyti nepageidaujamus nukrypimus projektuojant ar eksploatuojant statinį bei užtikrinti, kad jo struktūra atlaikytų potvynių sukeltus padarinius. Šiame darbe, kompiuterinio modeliavimo programa „ERoBo“ sumodeliuotas potvynio tėkmių praleidimas per projektuojamą periodiškai užliejamo slėnio estakadą kelyje Nr. 206 Šilutė – Rusnė. Matematinio modeliavimo būdu ištirtos dvi alternatyvos: kai įrengiami skirtingi 400 ir 700 m. angos dydžio estakados statiniai. Nustatyti tėkmės greičiai (vietiniai ir kritiniai), kuriuos viršijus prasideda užliejamo slėnio estakados atramų paplovimo procesai. Apskaičiuoti ir palyginti susidariusių išplovimų parametrai: gylis, spindulys ir išplaunamo grunto tūris, įvertinta potvynio hidrografo formos įtaka hidrotechninio statinio pastovumui.Scour development at hydraulic abutments during multiple floods and damage risk has been an issue during recent years. The test confirmation of the methods allows to perform computer modelling of scour development process and estimate the influence of floods with different probability, duration, frequency and sequence. The ‘ERoBo’ computer programme was elaborated in Riga Technical university (RTU). The ‘ERoBo’ programme allows us to compute and predict scour hole development and calculate the scour hole parameters – depth, width and volume – during one or several multiple floods. This method allows to estimate the flood damage risk factor for abutments, predicting possible failure both at the design stage and in the maintenance period and ensure that the structure is able to withstand expected or unexpected extreme flood events. In this work the ‘ERoBo’ computer programme enables to compute flood flow pattern at the design stage of a viaduct in the area of floodplain on the road No. 206 Šilutė – Rusnė. The differential equation was used to investigate the scour process at abutments, tests of different viaduct openings of 400 m and 700 m were carried out. Local and critical velocities are determined because when the critical velocity is exceeded, the scour development at viaduct abutments on floodplain starts. The scour hole parameters – depth, radius and bed sediment volume are calculated and compared, and the impact of the shape of the flood hydrograph on the safety and stability of the hydraulic abutments is assessed.Žemės ūkio akademijaVytauto Didžiojo universiteta
