The peculiarity for innovation activity of technology teachers

In modern, rapidly changing society, the systems of education had become variable, situation of activity for schools and pedagogues. In Lithuania, as in many other countries, economical, political, cultural life interdependence becomes stronger. Rapidly established informational society. Obviously, because of that always changes the content of training, increasing innovations and it’s spreading need. The object of investigation – is an innovation activity of technology teachers. The aim of investigation – is to analyze peculiarity of innovation activity of technology teachers. The objects of investigation: 1. To detect the conception of innovation activity for pedagogues, while analyzing scientific educational and psychological literature. 2. To detect the conception of innovation for technology teachers. 3. To investigate the point of view for innovation activity of technology teachers. 4. To investigate the peculiarity for innovation activity of technology teachers. The investigated: 100 pedagogues working in Lithuania, teaching technology subject: 80%-woman, 19%-man. The methods of investigation: Theoretical: studying and analyzing science literature sources. Empirical: questionnaire test was applied trying to achieve the conception of innovation activity for technology teachers. Statistical: was used to achieve the statistic results of investigation information. Information was processed with computer statistic program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows. The results of investigation: · The innovation work of pedagogue is interpreted as a purposeful, structural activity, effecting in pedagogical system, while spreading and extending the educational innovations. · Almost half (42.3%) of questioned technology teachers describe innovation unconcretely (the one which is new, modern and contemporary. 57% of respondents named concrete innovations, such as – the programs of new technology, new teaching methods, new technologies, modern training appliances. The higher qualification category having (of a head – master and methodologist) pedagogues describe innovations concretely. The innovations, named by respondents, those ones they face with during technology lessons, depend on their work experience and qualification category. · The investigation discovered that 57% of questioned technology subject teachers positively estimates the use of innovations in technology subject training process. The point of view for technology teachers on innovation activity was investigated creating the rules of values, influencing technology-training activities, describing the expression of innovations in pedagogue work. · According to investigation results, it is possible to maintain that respondents are involved into innovation diffusion variously. 10% of innovations are taken from literature sources, 20 % of pedagogues applies innovations for their work from other technology teachers, 30% of respondents share their working experience with other pedagogues by publishing articles in pedagogical literature, 25% of pedagogues who control the usage of innovations well, tries to improve, renovate it, also to exhibit during opened lessons, 5% - during seminars, 5% - can be found on conferences.Švietimo akademijaVytauto Didžiojo universiteta
