For a safe design and application of the new composite material, the textile reinforced concrete, it is necessary to gain fundamental insights into the structural behaviour and the damage and failure mechanisms. In addition to experimental studies, the modelling of textile reinforced concrete plays a significant role. In contrast to monolithic reinforcing elements in steel reinforced concrete, the reinforcing textile structures show a high heterogeneity.
