An ablation is a treatment procedure in which disruptive electrical stimuli to the heart are blocked or disorders in electrical conduction by the heart muscle tissue are remedied. These ablations are carried out increasingly often, as due to the population’s longer life expectancy, complex arrythmias are becoming more common. Until a few years ago, ablation techniques were not yet optimal, so after a period of time a significant proportion of the patients experienced arrhythmia and had to undergo additional surgery. This thesis examined new ablation strategies, which, based on better insights into pathophysiology and using technological innovation, significantly improved the results of catheter ablation. As a result, patients will be able t...
