APROS - Advanced PROcess Simulation environment - is a widely used code in safety analyses of nuclear power plants. Current three-dimensional neutronics model of APROS is shown to have difficulties in purposes to get accurate results in the most demanding analyses. To correct the problem, an implementation of a new sophisticated three-dimensional nodal model for neutronics calculations is currently in progress.
