The aim of this thesis was to understand different factors influencing the optical properties of polypropylene and assess some means to improve the appearance of polypropylene articles. In the literature survey part of this study, different polypropylene molecular and supermolecular structures were presented and related to polypropylene properties. Especially extrusion and thermoforming processes were discussed. The experimental part of this study began with extrusion of transparent polypropylene sheets with different processing parameters and material compositions.
