Ultra Wide Band (UWB) system is studied as one of the advanced technology in wireless communications, with the potential to achieve very high capacities for data transmission. In this master thesis, an introduction of UWB system and a simple simulation are presented. Simulation result analysis will help to understand the performance of UWB system. We investigate the capacity analysis of UWB system by theory and ray-tracing simulations. The capacity of UWB system in a realistic propagation environment is demonstrated by using Radio Propagation Simulator (RPS).
