Introducción: El síndrome de Burnout es un síndrome psicológico que implica una respuesta prolongada a estresores interpersonales crónicos en el trabajo. Las tres dimensiones claves de esta respuesta son un agotamiento extenuante, sentimiento de cinismo y desapego por el trabajo, y una sensación de ineficacia y falta de logros. Más del 50% de los médicos padecen de este síndrome, el cual se ha relacionado con mayor tasa de depresión, suicidio, y mayor número de errores médicos.
