States reporting chikungunya virus disease cases \u2013 United States, 2020 (as of August 6, 2020)

2020 provisional data for the United States\u2022 Chikungunya virus disease became a nationally notifiable condition in 2015. Cases are reported to CDC by state and local health departments using standard case definitions.\u2022 As of August 6, 2020, a total of 11 chikungunya virus disease cases with illness onset in 2020 have been reported to ArboNET from 7 U.S. states (Table & Map). All reported cases occurred in travelers returning from affected areas.
