Soil – Hapli-Epihypogleyic Luvisol. The influence of the preceding crop was investigated on the weedness of spring barley. The annual weed species dominated in the spring barley crop: Echinochloa crus-galli, Persicaria lapathifolia, Fallopia convolvulus, Chenopodium album, Galinsoga parviflora. Significant reduction in weed number (1.9 to 5.7 times), compared to other rotations was in intensive crop rotation, when spring barley was grown after maize.
