Teaching a Second Language to Kids Through the use of New Technologies: a Lesson Design

Treball Final de Grau en Estudis Anglesos. Codi: EA0938. Curs acadèmic: 2019/2020The educational system, in Spain, still focuses on conventional methods when it comes to teaching. However, according to Prensky (2001) "millennial students" or "digital natives” were exposed to technology from a very young age, hence why the traditional method was not designed to teach the students of today. The present study aims to create a didactic unit for a sixth year of Primary Education classroom in which the use of ICT in a wide variety of activities will be present in the English subject to observe the improvement in learning as well as in the motivation of students. It is essential that educational institutions help with the necessary resources to implement ICTs active, creative and recreational strategies that encourage interest in learning the English language (Bazurto Palma, 2011)
