International audience— The concept of UHF RFID passive tag-totag communication has been introduced and opens newpromising perspectives in the field of Internet-of-Things. Thisconcept enables two powerless tags to exchange informationusing an external source. Moreover, a simulation frameworkhas been proposed as a tool allowing the performanceevaluation of tag-to-tag radio links in terms of Bit ErrorRate (BER). The aim of this paper is to provide a theoreticalframework for BER estimation. The theoretical frameworktakes into account various parameters such as modulationrate, receivers topology and the electromagnetic couplingof the tags. Furthermore, in order to validate the obtainedresults, they are compared with the ones obtained by realist...
