Female Body, a short story, was published by Sakaguti anngo in September 1946, and Chasing Love as a sequel of it was published in January of the following year. The sharp contrast between Tanimura's sickness and his wife Motoko's health makes him feel inferior, jealous and powerless, but he cannot change all these. Finally, he chooses to escape the reality. In author's opinion, there is a sense of inferiority, caused by his wife, existing in Tanimura's heart, which is a microcosm of Japanese society in the early postwar period. This paper will focus on above subject to analyze Female Body
