Six aspects of the research status of adverbs of degree were surveyed. First, the research trends of adverbs of degree in Japanese and Chinese were reviewed. Comparative studies about adverbs of degree in the two languages were then introduced, highlighting some unsolved research topics on adverbs of degree.
