Wrestling Video Analysis - Hudl

The Wrestling Video Analysis - Hudl project, facilitated through the Raikes School Design Studio Program, is a project aimed to develop and implement a minimum viable product (MVP) of a wrestling video analysis product within Hudl\u27s sports analysis platform. This project was done with a team of five student developers (four Raikes School students and one Senior Design student) along with a Raikes School freshman in coordination with stakeholders from Hudl\u27s employee base as well as wrestling coaches from local Nebraska schools. Using input from various coaches and Hudl engineers, the design studio team established a product roadmap that outlined three major features: an enhanced video library for sorting wrestling film, a video tagging platform for tagging events in wrestling matches, and a statistics report page that tracks tags and allows users to create custom video playlists based on those tags. To achieve the goal of developing these features for the Wrestling Video Analysis MVP, the team utilized agile software engineering principals and industry-standard tools such as JIRA issue tracking software and Slack communication software to establish, track, and maintain tasks and communicate with project stakeholders throughout the project. The team has successfully developed the three features it set out to create at the beginning of the project by utilizing the aforementioned software engineering principals and tools, and considers the project to be a success
