Leucaena leucocephala's nutritive value, with emphasis on the content of the secondary metabolites

10 páginas, 4 cuadros.[EN] The Leucaena leucocephala has been amply affected and has demonstrated your high potential for the feeding of the ruminants in the tropic. With the objective to determine the nutritive value, with emphasis on the content of secondary metabolites at different sprout ages during the two seasons of the year, a 0.5-ha plot was used, and a 1- meter- high uniformity cut was applied at the beginning of each season. The evaluated ages were 60, 120 and 180 days. Furthermore, the PB, fibrous fractioning, glucose, fructose, sucrose, tannin, oligosaccharides, flavonoids, alkaloids, and saponins were evaluated. A a random- brick design with three treatments and four repetitions was utilized, by means of a double classification analysis, and the average were compared through a Duncan parametric multiple range test. The statistic program utilized was the statistical package “STATISTICA” for Windows, version 6.0. The resulting data show that the FND, FAD, LAD, Hemicellulose, FT, Flv, Alc and Sap increased their content (61,66 %; 31,48 %; 20,73 %; 30,18 %; 43,54; 77,5; 3,05 and 10,7 g/kg respectively) at the age of 180 days, whereas the raw protein and the cellulose decreased with their highest value (31,74 and 13,91 %) at the age of 60 days, and at 120 they showed their highest values with (29,03; 3,02 and 32,85 μg/g). Concluding that age had a remarkable effect on the evaluated indicators behavior, this effect highlighted during the rainy season.[ES] La Leucaena leucocephala ha sido ampliamente estudiada y se ha demostrado su alto potencial para la alimentación de los rumiantes en el trópico. Con el objetivo de determinar el valor nutritivo, con énfasis en el contenido de metabolitos secundarios a diferente edades de rebrote durante los dos períodos del año, se utilizó una parcela de 0,5 ha, aplicándose un corte de uniformidad a 1 m de altura del suelo al inicio de cada período. Las edades evaluadas fueron 60, 120 y 180 días. Se determinaron la PB, fraccionamiento fibroso, glucosa, fructosa, sacarosa, taninos, oligosacáridos, flavonoides, alcaloides y saponina. Se empleó un diseño en bloques al azar con tres tratamientos y cuatro repeticiones, aplicando un análisis de clasificación doble y las medias se compararon utilizando la prueba de rangos múltiples. El programa estadístico empleado fue el Statiics versión 6.0 para Windows. En los resultados se puede apreciar que la FND, FAD, LAD, Hemicelulosa, FT, Flv, Alc y Sap aumentaron su contenido (61,66 %; 31,48 %; 20,73 %; 30,18 %; 43,54; 77,5; 3,05 y 10,7 g/kg respectivamente) con la edad de 180 días, mientras que la proteína bruta y la celulosa disminuyeron con su valor más alto (31,74 y 13,91 %) a los 60 días, mientras que a los 120 presentaron sus valores más altos con (29,03, 3,02 y 32,85 μg/g).
