Importance: Acute kidney injury (AKI) occurs commonly during diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) in children, but the underlying mechanisms and associations are unclear. Objective: To investigate risk factors for AKI and its association with neurocognitive outcomes in pediatric DKA.
