Purpose: Cardiac parasympathetic reactivation (PR) following exercise mirrors a restoration of cardiovascular homeostasis and possibly readiness to perform. It has been postulated that a facilitated post-exercise PR may improve the peak sympathetic response during subsequent exercise.
