Investigation of the effect of different cutting conditions and cutting parameters on cutting temperature in bone drilling

Kemik delme, ortopedide kırık tedavisi, rekonstrüktif cerrahi ve kemik biyopsisi için yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Kemik delmede ısı üretimi, kemik sıcaklığında artışa neden olarak osteonekroza (kemik dokusu ölümü) sebep olarak iyileşme süresinin uzamasına veya fiksasyonun gevşemesine neden olabilir. Bu çalışmada, kemik delme işleminde farklı takım geometrisinin ve takım malzemesinin, farklı kesme sıvılarının ve kesme parametrelerinin kesme sıcaklığı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Delme işlemi sırasında nekroza neden olan veya olabilecek olan tüm unsurlar belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Deneylerde 12 saat önce canlı olan sığırın femur kemikleri kullanılmış ve delme bölgesine çok yakın noktalarda kesme sıcaklığı deneysel olarak tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre devir sayısının sıcaklığı önemli ölçüde arttırmaktadır. Gagalama tekniği kemik sıcaklığını önemli ölçüde düşürmektedir. 0,04 l/dk debide uygulanan salin sıvısı kemik sıcaklığını düşürmektedir. Aynı zamanda matkap geometrisinin etkilerine yer verilmiştir.It is generally used for bone drilling, orthopedic fracture treatment, reconstructive surgery, and bone biopsy. The production of heat in bone drilling may cause an increase in bone temperature, causing osteonecrosis (bone tissue death), prolonged recovery time or relaxation of fixation. In this study has been investigated that, the effect of different tool geometry and tool material, different cutting fluids and cutting parameters on cutting temperature in bone drilling. During the drilling process, all the factors that cause or could cause necrosis were tried to be determined. Femur bones of the bovine that were alive 12 hours ago were used in the experiments and the cutting temperature was determined experimentally at the points very close to the puncture site. According to the results obtained, the temperature of the speed increases significantly. The pecking technique significantly reduces bone temperature. Saline fluid applied at a flow rate of 0.04 L/min lowers bone temperature. Also, the effects of drill geometry are included
