Proučavani su fizikalno-kemijski parametri vode, plankton i makrobentoski beskralješnjaci u laguni Lagos (Badore, Ajah), država Lagos, Nigerija u razdoblju od veljače do srpnja 2018. na četiri lokacije za uzorkovanje u različitom rasponu ljudskih aktivnosti i utjecaja. Rezultat analize fitoplanktona ukazao je na ukupno 56 rodova s 40 rodova unutar Bacillariophyta. Zooplankton je obuhvaćao je 26 rodova s 82% zastupljenosti nižih rakova. Bentoski makroinvertebrati bili su sastavljeni od mekušaca, člankonožaca i kolutičavaca.
