A father leaves for America. Unable to pay for his sons' passage, he leaves them behind with their uncle. Seven years later, the sons set off for America to find their father. Unfortunately, they are attacked by two robbers and shot. As one lies dead, and the other dying, the wounded boy asks if they know of his father, Monroe. One of the thieves is devestated - he is Monroe, and realizes he has murdered his sons
