ABSTRACT Wireless mesh networks (WMN) is a technology which provides wireless broadband connectivity to the Internet. This network, by applying only one hot spot and several transient access points, an Internet Service Provider can extend its coverage and serve a large number of clients using a single broadband connection. However, if the medium access protocol is poorly designed or inadequate, it can lead to severe unfairness and low bandwidth utilization.
