ABSTRACT Method is based on the oxidation of Ethamsylate with ferric ammonium sulphate followed by complex formation of resulting ferrous ion (Fe 2+ ) with 1, 10-phenanthroline to form orange red coloured chromogen exhibiting absorption maximum at 509nm and obeyed Beer's law in the concentration range of 2-10 μg/ml. The correlation coefficient was found 0.9998. The method has been validated according to ICH Guidelines
