Eye cosmetics are the contributing factors of dry eye, yet the effectiveness of cosmetic remover usage to reduce this problem is unknown. This study aimed to investigate the effect of regular use of cosmetic remover on dry eye symptoms. An online questionnaire consisting of 23 questions regarding dry eye symptoms and the frequency of cosmetic removal usage was distributed. Eighty-five female respondents answered the questionnaire, with the majority (74.1%) reported used more than three types of cosmetic remover products. There was no significant difference in dry eye symptoms between regular and light cosmetic remover users (p=0.83). Keywords: cosmetic ; dry eye ; ocular discomfort eISSN: 2398-4287© 2020.
