This study has been produced for the purpose of furthering the debate on the importance of cultural identities in sustainable development processes by giving special emphasis to stakeholder collaboration management in the tourist industry. Tourism plays a critical role, both in strengthening cultural identity and promoting sustainable development. However, there issues that need to be addressed, such as, how tourism, especially community-based tourism (CBT) could help promote local culture, what is the role of key stakeholders, especially local people’s attitude towards sustainable development collaboration.
