Life Satisfaction and its Relationship to Self Determination Skills and Hope in Adolescents with Disabilities in Jordan

The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between life satisfaction, hope and self-determination in adolescents with disabilities. Ninety students participated in this study. Multidimensional Life Satisfaction Scale, The Arc’s Self-Determination Scale, and The Children’s Hope Scale were used to collect data. The data were analyzed using mean scores, standard deviations, and Pearson correlation coefficient. The study indicated strong correlations between self-determination, hope and life satisfaction in adolescents with disabilities. Based on these results, the study recommended some recommendations as: 1. The needs for further research and studies different types of disabilities. 2. The research is needed to explore the coloration between life satisfaction and different types of positive psychology constructs
