Miss Portland was opened in March 1949 by Navy veterans Frank Venuti and James Crowder, at 175 Forest Avenue (see this link for the history of the Diner). View of the Diner on Forest Avenue at this link. The Diner was moved around the corner to 49 Marginal Way, during construction of the Federal Building (circa 1968).
