Maine Mall expansion grand opening, 1983

Views from the Maine Mall expansion grand opening, South Portland. The Mall first opened in August 1969, anchored by a Jordan Marsh department store. This was followed by significant retail development in 1971 connecting Jordan Marsh with a Sears Roebuck department store (an interior view from 1972 can be seen at this link).
